Several long time members of the band have now
left, Tommo being one of them. Dr A is heading for more blues club gigs,
which unfortunately seem to take place mid week, which proved impossible
for those members with a full time job. He will be missed greatly and we
wish him luck with his future endeavours.
About 5 years ago he got dragged along to a Rock
Karaoke by Trevor Smith (Hooker), where be belted out "You Could Be
Mine" by Guns 'n' Roses to thunderous applause. Someone said:
"you ought to be in a band, mate"! So The Mary Hinge
Experience was formed with Adam Vickers (Escape
UK/Leon) Franco Caprio (Escape UK/Leon), Dave Russell (Osric
Tentacles/Paradox) & Jim (Crackanacker Karaoke).
He has guested with Hooker & Albert Tatlock.
His involvement with
Blues Consortium was through the reformation of The Mary Hinge with
David Astell on Keyboards and Guitar & Mick Castellano on Bass. Do
you fancy singing some blues? Nah! I'm a rock singer but I'll have a go.
The rest is history, Tommo is now a Singer Full Stop and he still needs
no amplification!!
