Neil has spent the last six years playing drums in various bands
around Peterborough and Hereford were he went to college.
He started playing around about thirteen years old in a military band
based on London Road in Peterborough. He then went off to college to
study music technology and came back to Peterborough and made a move to
playing rock.
He did some recording with Flatfield and then ended up playing with The
Hinge. We met him at one of our gigs in December 2002 and towards the
end of 2003 he started doing a guest slots with us.
Then after Valli left the band we asked Neil if he would play for us and
he jumped at the chance.
Jumping (or the lack of it) seems to be Penfold's tour de force, coz
he missed his 1st 5 gigs due to being on the wrong end of a hit 'n' run
incident in London this March. Muppet!
Glad to say he seems OK now, although his head still rattles from time
to time.
